Powered By Eat From Farms
Our chickens are humanely raised and spend their days grazing natural pasture at our sweet little Arlee farm. The birds freely forage grasses and bugs and coop in mobile chicken tractors. We use a locally produced USDA certified organic feed that is corn-free and soy-free. There are nutritional benefits of eating pasture-raised chicken meat versus conventionally raised chickens. Natural foraging allows these chickens a more robust and variable micronutrient intake. Studies have shown that pasture-raised chicken meat has increased levels of vitamins A and E, iron, conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), Omega 3 fatty acids, and a better balance of Omega 6:3 ratio (ideal for combating inflammation). The environmental benefits of local meat sourcing include a reduction in the overall carbon footprint of meat production and distribution. Ethically, knowing where your meat comes from, what it eats, and that the animal was humanely raised gives you peace of mind. Together we can also raise meat chickens to share with those in-need in our community. For every $10 donation, we will match the value and donate 1 meat bird to area families in need.
